September 20, 2007. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Afghanistan to Kazakhstan Aziz Arianfar during the first session of the Kazakhstan-Afghanistan intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation said that Afghanistan is interested in an increase of deliveries of the Kazakhstan grain.
September 28, 2007. The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev made a state visit to Brazil.
The official program of the visit of Kazakh leader, first in history, to the Latin America begun on Thursday with the meeting with the President of Brazil Luis Inacio da Silva, who hold solemn reception in the honor of Nursultan Nazarbayev in the palace Itamarati.
On the first day of the visit to Brazil, N. Nazarbayev met the chairmen of both Chambers of the National Congress (Parliament) of Brazil, the Chamber of the Deputies and the Supreme Court of the country.
On September 28, the President of Kazakhstan and the delegation members, who arrived with him, hold a number of meetings with the management of the largest in Brazil and the Latin American region companies of oil-and-gas branch - Petrobraz and mining metallurgy - Vali du Rio Dose.
The questions of activization of relations of Kazakhstan with Latin America, integration processes in Central Asia, contribution of Kazakhstan to development of interreligious dialogue, problem of non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, counteraction to international terrorism, illegal circulation of drugs, attraction of new technologies in development of Kazakhstan high technology, export-oriented manufacture and information sphere were discussed during the negotiations.
A number of bilateral documents: intergovernmental agreements on exemption of owners of diplomatic and service passports from visa requirements, trade and economic cooperation, the protocol on political consultations between foreign policy departments of two countries, declaration of principles of mutual relations between Kazakhstan and Brazil were signed during the state visit of the Kazakh leader to Brazil.

September 19, 2007. The Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Kazakhstan considers that the Kazakhstan building companies should get rid of high liquid non-profile assets for financing of housing construction with participation of shareholders. As a result, construction companies should find due to their internal sources about USD 700 million for completion of construction of objects and executions of obligations before their shareholders.
September 21, 2007. The Chairman of the board, Executive Director of Chevron Corporation David J. O'Reilly informed that Corporation is planning on completing the project of expansion of Tengiz deposit capacities within 2008.
September 24, 2007. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov said that for 8 months annual inflation made 8.2 %. The Prime Minister noted that for 8 months of 2007 cash circulation have increased almost by 36 %, and monetary weight - by 24 %. K. Masimov noted substantial increase of prices for bread in the cities of Shymkent, Astana, Almaty, Taraz and Atyrau.
September 25, 2007. The chairman of the board of the Kazakhstan fund of steady development “Kazyna” Kayrat Kelimbetov informed that capitalization of the first regional investment fund created by Kazyna should make USD 30 million in Akmola oblast. K. Kelimbetov reminded that considering lack of investments in the regions, fund Kazyna has created regional investment funds along with akimats and together with regional business-communities.
September 25, 2007. The Prime Minister Karim Masimov during round table: “Development of commodity exchanges and share market in Kazakhstan” informed that the government starts realization of the share market development program.
In his turn, the Minister of Finance Natalia Korzhova in the interview to journalists noted that her department is ready for realization of the program. The work is being conducted. We have audited all state actives available in the country. We have the list of those joint-stock companies that are ready to sell the package in the share market," she explained.
N. Korzhova informed that introduction "of two levels of papers is expected to take place: the papers belonging to joint-stock companies and being the republican property and the papers belonging to joint-stock companies and are the municipal property."
September 27, 2007. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Kazakhstan Kim Il Su took part in the opening of a new Kazakhstan-Korean factory “SemAZ” in Semey.
September 27, 2008. Kazakhstan has occupied 71 place in the research of the World Bank (WB) and IFC (International Financial Corporation) “Business Conduct-2008” in a new rating of 178 countries of the world.
The report of IFC “Business Conduct – 2008” presents the results of the rating of 178 states according to the parameter of improvement of conditions of business dealing, considering data in 10 areas of regulation of enterprise activity.
Time and cost of performance of the requirements of the state for registration of a new enterprise, its activity, conducting foreign trade operations, taxation and closing of the enterprise are considered at compilation of the rating. Thus, such factors, as macroeconomic policy, quality of infrastructure, currency fluctuation, opinion of investors and crime rate are not taken into account.
Singapore has taken up the first place in cumulative rating of 178 countries for the second time. The report specified that during realization of reforms Kazakhstan has lowered tax burden, having changed rates of amortization.
September 28. 2007. As of today, Kazakhstan agricultural producers harvested 97 % of areas under crop. Gross weight of the harvested grain in bunker weight makes 21.3 million tons that is record harvest for today. Vice Minister of Agriculture Dulat Aytjanov stated on Thursday at the round table - On issues of increase of prices and tariffs. The plan of shipment of grain in September, 2007 makes 6291 units of transportation (401 760 tons), from them, as of September 20, 2007, 3333 units of transportation (221 880 tons), including for export - 1451 units (96 595 tons), for Kazakhstan - 1882 units (125 285 tons) have been shipped.
